A Racing Weekend!

April brought another flying trip to join the KatKids for a week-end, this time of dirt bike racing in Joplin, MO. Kyle Thomas was chasing the elusive dream of qualifying for the Loretta Lynn Nationals in Nashville, TN to be held later this summer. So, when the Grands call, GrampsNGram usually try to be there! They were on the last leg of their Spring Break 2009 trip to Galveston, TX where they rode bikes, enjoyed the ocean, visited with friends and delivered furniture to their former Youth Pastor and family near Dallas.

A few 'minor adjustments' with the pit crew looking on -
and it's back to racing in the rain and cold!

Then the rains came and the races were called,

but a couple of week-ends later with a whole lot better weather -

He Qualified! - placing 5th overall

at the Crossroads Motorsports Park near Mattoon, IL

with Girlfriend Danielle and Dad Bruce, making up the pit crew!
